For the last several years, Shannel WC has been the one and only artist designer of Kyte BABY layette prints. In the ultra modern, and unique patterns is one simple formula: graphic representations of a primary animal, a secondary animal, and a supporting element, all while utilizing block colours of cream, brown, and the theme’s specific colour. As a startup, my early years with Kyte BABY involved me conducting market research by taking a look at the types of design selling well in the industry and those that were not. I designed the logo, photography, signage, marketing materials, tradeshow booth, for NYC children’s show. The client had a solid idea of clothing material and concept but needed the visual transformation and design strategy. As the business has grown and relocated down south, Shannel WC continues to design the layette prints.
